Integrated Design & Planning

Every modular unit is designed in-house by a Licensed Building Practitioner with advanced 3D modelling capability. We work either to your specific brief or adapt one of our modular designs between 10–30m², ensuring the unit is suited to your requirements.

Our design process includes:

  • Architectural layout and technical detailing

  • 3D visualization for clear decision-making

  • Early compliance and buildability checks

  • Site assessment to confirm access, placement, and service connections

This integrated approach eliminates guesswork before construction begins.

Our Process

  • Using professional 3D modelling and engineering-standard documentation, we design your modular unit to suit your brief, site constraints, and compliance requirements. Where consent is required, we coordinate with architects and engineers to manage the approval process on your behalf.

  • As Licensed Building Practitioners, we construct each modular unit in our purpose-built workshop in Plimmerton, Porirua, under controlled conditions that ensure consistent quality and workmanship. Depending on the size and complexity of the build, typical construction timeframes range between 6–14 weeks from commencement. Building off-site allows us to maintain tighter tolerances, minimize weather delays, and deliver a higher level of finish before the unit ever reaches site.

  • We coordinate transportation requirements early in the process, assessing site access, constraints, and delivery conditions to ensure a smooth installation. Where required, we can plan and manage Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), drawing on our extensive experience in transport logistics and site staging.

    If you already have preferred transport or lifting arrangements in place, we are happy to accommodate this and work alongside your nominated providers to ensure compatibility with the build and installation process.

  • As Licensed Building Practitioners, we are certified to construct the foundations required to receive your modular unit. Foundation design and installation can be integrated early into our design process, ensuring alignment between documentation, off-site construction, and on-site placement.

    This early coordination provides clear continuity from concept and drawings through to delivery and final installation, reducing risk and ensuring a smooth, efficient on-site process.
